  The Samburu tribe inhabits Kenya's northern plains and is traditionally made up of nomadic pastoralists. The village of Ngurunit, surrounded by panoramic views of the Ndoto mountain range, is a gorgeous area of Samburu land. These Samburu boys and their pack of dogs led us to our camp site at the most perfect of golden hours as we entered town.

 Pilgrims and Varanasi residents bathe in the River Ganges to wash away sins in the sacred waters on one of the days of Diwali, festival of lights. Varanasi is one of Hinduism's seven holy cities, and one of the world's oldest inhabited cities. It is magical, chaotic, and wildly colorful. "You're here two days?" Our bed and breakfast host exclaimed, "People live here their entire lives and it's not enough time."
       
     
 A row of small bikes outside Doha's Souq Waqif. Souq Waqif ("standing market") is a gem of Doha, with winding alleyways of vibrant crafts and cuisine from all over the region. Although it looks deceptively old, it was renovated in 2006 to preserve its traditional architecture style.
